If what you want to tell us is really more of a suggestion or a request for enhancement, please use our suggestion form instead.


Bug Report Form

When you submit your bug report, it will be entered into our database for tracking purposes. It will be associated with the account name under which you accessed this web. Periodically we will post notices regarding bugs reported by our customers in the Known Problems section of this page, and tips or workarounds on the FAQ page.

Please be as specific as possible when describing the problem.

  1. What version of the software are you using?


  2. Is the software on CD or diskettes?


  3. What operating system are you using?

  4. Please enter a brief one-line description of the problem:

    (example: "I can't view the pictures")

  5. If the problem is reproducible, please list the steps required to cause it,
    leaving a blank line between steps:

    (example: "1. Open Dickens database. 2. Click on Show Pic button ...")

    If the problem is not reproducible (only happened once, or occasionally for no apparent reason), please describe the circumstances in which it occurred and the symptoms observed:

    (note: it is much harder for us to fix non-reproducible bugs)

Known Problems

The following is a list of some known problems with our software; we are working to correct them for the next release.

 
  • Cannot print reports - With WindowsXP and sometimes WindowsMe, the reports come up so you can view them, but the print button and other buttons are missing.  All you have to do is click on the Maximize button in the top, right corner of the report.  That will make the report full screen and the buttons will once again appear at the bottom of the screen for you to use.

 
  • Cannot install on WindowsXP - For those of you who purchased the software before WindowsXP came out, and are now trying to install your older software on XP, we have a new installation program that will work for most of you.  Just click here to download a file called XPINSTAL.EXE and put it in your C:\VCWIN directory.  Then Run it to expand the setup program files.  Then Run SETUP.EXE from your C:\VCWIN directory.  When it asks for the location of the source files, change it to your CD ROM drive (such as D:\) and click Continue.  The rest of the installation should proceed normally.

 
 
  • Financial Report doesn't calculate multiple items correctly (Version 4.1 only). There is a fix for this posted on our Downloads page.
