The Village Collector is a software package designed to make keeping track of your collectibles fun and easy. It comes preloaded with databases for each of the Dept56 Villages as well as Snowbabies, Merry Makers, All Through The House, and Winter Silhouette; plus, you have the ability to create your own collections for other items such as plates, steins , David Winter cottages, or anything else!

• Changed the way reports are opened. You can open them while viewing a collection and have all the reports show the opened collection, or select a new collection each time you choose a report from the Reports Menu
• Print storage labels so you can look at the outside of your storage boxes and find out exactly what pieces are contained in each box
• The Crown & Cricket drawing shown on the main screen can be changed to any picture you choose
• You can now mark several items from your collection that you have sold, and press a button to "sell" them all at once. Previous versions would only sell one item at a time
• Installation program will create an icon in your Village Collector folder that will automatically start the Village Collector with the collection of your choice loaded and waiting for you
• We now support long image file names, so you can specify a picture for a piece that is on a different drive or directory than the Village Collector. This is especially useful if you have images on a CD ROM that you wish to use with the software
• You can now print one of the pictures with or without the text descriptions of the piece. Just select Add/Change/Delete from the Update Collections menu, find the item you wish to print a picture of, then press the PrintPic button at the bottom of the screen
• The Village Collector is now available on CD ROM! This includes databases for all the Departmetn56 and Beer Stein databases, as well as pictures for both collections, over 1,000 pictures in all! The pictures can be installed to your hard drive, or accessed directly from the CD.

You can easily choose between a spreadsheet style screen or a formatted screen to edit your collections. The Village Collector also makes it easy to list your duplicate pieces and track items you've sold or traded as well. There are many reports included, such as Items Wanted Reports, Insurance reports, Financial reports, Duplicates reports, and more. You may even create your own custom report! The program also comes with a screen saver that allows you to choose the pictures you wish to view.

No other computer program offers you the power and flexibility of the Village Collector. Pictures are available if you like for a small additional charge, or you can add your own BMPs, JPGs, or almost any other picture format. (If you purchase the CD ROM, ALL pictures are included free!) You can also view a Market Value Analysis Graph which shows market value changes for an item over the years. I will be adding values every time the market values change as well as supplying older information as it is available.
